Views from the boat

I forgot to share this at the beginning of the month.
Today I share a LO that has a couple of photos from our cruise ship as we approached the glaciers.  My daughter looks over the railing to see some ice bergs bobbing in the water.

I used the inspirational photo from Pixels and Paper to create my page.

I really struggled with creating a page from the inspirational photo this month. My first instinct was to do something with trees and possibly Fall. I just was unable to find any photos that I liked. I kept coming back to the inspiration photo and would sit at my scrap desk contemplating what I would create. Nature is what kept popping into my head. I finally decided that I would scrap photos of nature.....our trip to Alaska I had photos from our cruise and these photos were beautiful. So used a background paper that had the various colors from the inspiration photo and then went from there.

Street Car Tour

Here is my vintage LO I made for the challenge at ARTastc Challenge Blog.  It is a photo of the tour guide from our Street Car Tour in Skagway, Alaska.  She was dressed up in the period clothing and told us all about this town that was where the Gold rush folks left from.

Here is the inspiration photo from ARTastic.

I used modeling past on my page to add texture to the background.

I then added blue and yellow ink to go along with the colors of the inspiration photo.

Remember card

I made this card from  new technique I just learned.  Spread glue on paper.  Let the glue dry a bit until it is tacky.  Paint over the top of the glue.  Let it all dry and it is done.

Here is the sketch I worked with from SID.

Monkey in the middle

Here is my niece in the middle of the tires at the playground.

I used the Stick it Down single page sketch for September as my inspiration

5 Cousins at the park

I brought my sister's kids and my brother's kids to the park this past summer.  They had fun playing on the big playground.  Here are a couple of the photos I took that day.

I used the September 15th sketch from Stuck Sketches.  I loved the layering in the sketch.

I used some doilies and die cuts to add to the layering.  This also qualified me to enter the challenge at Turtle Soup.

When it's hot out just remember winter will be here soon enough

If you are feeling hot just remember what the snow felt like last winter.  COLD, COLD, COLD!  Here is the inspiration photo from Pixels and Paper Challenge Blog.

I was instantly drawn to the white and so I used the photo of my son from Prom.  I used a pop of red behind the photo to go along with his flower, some black for the bow tie and then some bling.
