Family Store

My parents' have owned a gas station and convenience for over 20 years.  I figured it was time to take  a photo of it and scrap and keep this in our memories.

I used this sketch from Turtle Soup

I was inspired by this photo by Anna Collins titled Top Hat Tiger from ArTastic.  Their challenge was to use black and white and 1 color.  I chose green.

Finally back to scrap

It has been about a month since I have been able to scrap.  I had finger surgery at the end of April and had to rest my hand for a while and then life just got in the way.

Today  I am happy to share the challenge at Pixels and Paper.

Here is the inspirational photo.

Here is what I created.

It was the barn door that caught my attention in this photo.  I used a photo of Sarah Palin's childhood home in Skagway, Alaska I took last summer.  

I sanded and inked most of the edges of my accent papers.

I have my photos from Seattle Washington to scrap.  Here is my son inside the Space Needle

I also used the inspiration photo from ARTastic

I used 2 papers with letters for my background and used the photo of my son alone.  This was what I was inspired by.
