Technically Inclined

I just had to also use Workout #56-- Technically Inclined from ScrapFit. I used a photo of my son's cell phone. He thinks he can't live without it ! He says that you can't call someone you have to text them. Well I did learn to text on my cell phone, but I usually don't even have it turned on, so it rarely gets used.
So this LO is for him.

Christmas is less than 1 month away!

I can't believe how fast time flies! With Christmas less than a month away I decided I better get working on cards and tags. I was inspired by ScrapFit Workout #55 Tis' the Season. I tried a couple of different papers and inks to get my tag to be what I wanted it to be. I used the same stamp to make my card. I like the effect of stamping on the tag best.
Here is a closeup of the tag. You can see the glitter glue I used on the tree.

Happy Thanskgiving!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with family and friends. I traveled with my husband and children to spend the day with my husband's parents. We had our Thanksgiving dinner with them and then we traveled to Kent's cousin's house for dessert. It was a restful time.
We also did lots of shopping on the way there and again on the return trip. This part of the trip was not restful at all.
I found this photo of my daughter from last year at Thanksgiving time. I decided it was time to create a LO with the photo. I used the November 15th sketch from Stuck Sketches for this LO. So here it is:

CVTM

We visited the Champlain Valley Transportation Museum (CVTM) last Fall. Here is another LO from that trip. This one has my son with one of the cars he liked. I used the November 1st sketch from Stuck Sketches. This is a great place to find sketches on the 1st and 15th of every month!

CVTM

This photo was taken at the Champlain Valley Transportation Museum in November of 2010. I used the October 1st Sketch from Stuck Sketches to create this LO! I loved the colors in the taxi cab. I wanted to use the bright colored circles to rev up the page!

Scrapbook Reatreat

I went to local Scrapbook Reatreat this past weekend! It was a chance for me to create some LOs, attend a card class using Tim Holtz's ideas (given by some talented ladies), make a banner, and do lots of networking with my scrapbook friends and some new friends I met.
Below is a card I made to send to soldiers. We had a challenge to create 2 cards that were blank inside. These cards are sent to soldiers. The soldiers can use them to send home to their families and loved ones. What a great idea someone had!
