Dream job NOT

I am guest designer at Stick it Down today!

Here is the single page sketch that I used:

Here is a little bit about me:
Hello, my name is Phillis Walrath.  I am from upstate NY and by upstate I mean right next to the border.  I live 1 hour south of Montreal, Canada.  I began scrapbooking when my kids were small, maybe about 20 years ago.   I have never looked back.  I love working with sketches  to tell the story of what my photo is about.  My go to embellishment lately are thread, string, or ribbon and buttons.  I mostly scrap chronologically.  I have many books filled with pages of my daughter, age 23 and my son, age 25.  They each have their own collection of books.  I often make 2 pages of the same event so that each can have the page in their own book.

Millions of wishes

I used the challenge from Cookin' Up Creations:  Use the recipe below

So my challenge for you is to do a green monocromatic layout for the pickles
They take 3 weeks to make so use 3 flowers anywhere you choose
Use the word Million somewhere in your title
the first two weeks you ring out the rag on the top so use ribbon anywhere you choose
and at the bottom of the recipe it says "Do not get discouraged, these are very good pickles" Use 5 gems to represent encouragement and let your bling shine!

HERE IS MY CHALLENGE

For Sketch Monday I used this sketch I found on pinterest:

Here is what I created:

So with cake you need frosting.  My favorite as a kid was milk gravy frosting.  it sounds bad, but it is so smooth and so sugary sweet.

THE RECIPE:

 Milk Gravy Frosting

1 cup milk                     6 dessert spoons flour dash of salt            1/2 cup butter

1/2 cup shortening        1 cup white sugar                                        1/2 tsp vanilla

Blend milk and flour in saucepan.  Cook over medium heat stirring constantly until thick.  Cool ( about 1/2 an hou)

Cream together better, shortening, and sugar.  Add in flour/milk mixture.  Beat until fluffy and sugar is dissolved.  Stir in the vanilla.  Frost cooled cake.

THE CHALLENGE:

There is 1 cup of milk so use 1 photo

Since there are six spoons of flour use 6 different papers any way you want

There is only a dash of salt so sprinkle some small embellishments on your page.  I used stars.

Since butter is smooth use something shiny on your page.  I used some sequins

Shortening is also smooth, but I remember the Crisco always coming in the giant circle container.  So use a circle or may circles or parts of circles on your page

For the 1 cup of sugar be sure to matt your 1 photo

Lastly there is some vanilla to give it a pop of flavoring so give your page a pop of thread, string, or twine
