Have your heard about One Little Word (OLW)? It is the concept of choosing one word that will guide you through a whole year. My word for 2014 is FOCUS. Actually my husband helped me pick this word since he knows I need to focus more than I do. Once I really thought about it I realized it fit me well. I believe that I do need to focus more on what needs to get done, or what I am doing at the time. The main 3 things I hope to Focus on this year are my health, peace, and happiness.
I used Challenge #2: One Little Word from Challenge YOUrself to prompt me to create a LO about my OLW. So if you need something to motivate you or guide you during 2014 why not choose your own OLW.

Infant Phillis
Yes, this is me as baby! I am working on an ABC book about me for my kids. It is slow going, but here is my page for "I" infant.
I used the January 15th sketch from Stuck Sketches. I was able to use of some of my scraps from a kit that I had. I didn't do any journaling on my page since it is all about me and I thought infant was easy enough to understand. If you are interested in this sketch head on over there.
I also posted my page to January ON A ROLL - BABY YOU! at Kitchen Keepsake. So if you want to see more babies head over there.

Christmas Dinner
More from Christmas 2012.
When my family gets together we eat in the basement of my parent's house. They have about 6 of those plastic tables, a bar, and even a kitchen. It makes everything so much easier since there are about 20 of us there. In 2012 we arranged some of the tables in a U formation so we could all see each other. I took photos of whoever was left sitting at the tables after we had eaten.
I used the January 1st sketch from Stuck Sketches. It was a great way to use my 3 photos. I also used ink on the sides of my papers and on my tags. I fussy cut this poinsettia out of some paper and then used glitter on it to brighten it up. Frosted Designs was also teaming up with Stuck Sketches for their challenge to use mists, inks, or paints. I can use this one LO for the 2 challenges.

Challenge #66 from Scrapbook Circle
Now that the New Year is here many of the Christmas decorations are put away and my house is about back to normal. I did make a few gift bags for presents to go in. Here is one that I made for my sister.
I used a journaling card from the December Scrapbook Circle kit and some of the other embellishments from the kit. It was a great way to use up some of my scraps after I made a few LOs. I know that my sister was happy her present and I was happy in how the gift bag turned out.
