I am sneaking an entry in for one more challenge this 2013. I created this Christmas LO from my 2012 photos. I haven't even finished scrapping my 2012 photos and it is time to develop my 2013 Christmas photos!
I used the December 15th sketch from Stuck Sketches. They are partnering up with Red Carpet Studio to include a Christmas tree on my LO so I get 2 entered for this one LO.
Thanks for stopping by and have a wonderful New Year!

Happy Birthday
I can never have enough birthday cards so that is what I made for the Scrapbook Circle sketch challenge. I used paper from the December kit.
I loved this reindeer card that was in the kit. It reminds me of my dad and many of my male relatives. So it will be a perfect birthday card for someone. It will probably go to my son for his 18th birthday. he loves hunting and has yet to shoot a deer.
Sneak Peak at Stick it Down
Here is a LO I made for Stick it Down to give a little peak of what is to come on their challenge blog.
Here is the double page sketch that I had to work with.
There is also a single page LO and a card sketch that some of the ladies used.
To see a little of what is to come head on over to Stick it Down to take a sneak peek for your self.

Kitchen Keepsake Extras
Here are some LOs that I created from the 2013 challenges from Kitchen Keepsake.
For the March 2013, this LO had to include a cake. The photos are from my in-laws 50th anniversary.
This next LO is of my dad from last December. This is for the June 2013 "Father's Day" to scrap you man. I loved this photo of him reading the church bulletin. I was taking photos of everyone at my mom's birthday party, last year.
The last LO for today is of my mom with the grandkids on her 73rd birthday in December 2012. It also includes the above small photo of my dad.
I create scrapbooks for both of my children and I often scrap photos differently for their scrapbooks. Thanks for stopping in to see my creations. Stop by again to see what else I whip up before this challenge ends.

Love........................................
Love it what there is at any birthday party. In this photo my nieces take to climbing up the forbidden stairs, after eating dinner for grandma's 73rd birthday.
This LO was created from the December 1st sketch at Stuck Sketches. I layered my paper after I scrunched it up a bit to give it some extra texture. I also used bows for the challenge at Kitchen Keepsake. These are 2 of my go to blogs for inspiration and challenges. If you are interested in either of these challenge head on over to their blogs for all the information.

Authentic
I used some of the same photos of my in-laws, that I took with their film camera, to make another layout. I used the November 15th sketch from Stuck Sketches and thought how cool it was to use 2 similar photos on the same LO.
I think my mother-in-law was trying to hide behind her husband and in the photo in the back she is not really looking the camera. Usually I would just throw that second photo away, but I decided it was perfect to use fro this sketch. This LO also was a way for me to use up some of my stash and scraps. I used some orange rub-ons that I have had from a kit and just hadn't used. The papers were mostly stash. The wood paper was the last piece of paper that I found to complete the challenge for Scrap Our Stash challenge #9.
So I was able to enter 2 challenges. thanks Stuck Sketches for teaming up with Scrap Our Stash this month

Scrapbook Circle Inspiration
I created 2 LOs today for the Scrapbook Circle Challenges.
The first is for the November sketch. It has photos of my hubby and kids and one of hubby's parents. It was taken last November when we visited them for the holiday. It seems that my father-in-law wants to take our photo when we have our coats on and are ready to go out the door to go home. This time he wanted to also use up the film-------yes film-----------and so gave me the camera to take a photo of him and my mother-in-law.
The second photo is from my son's 16th birthday. It includes my daughter who helped make the cake. This Lo is fro the November stickers challenge. I used most of my stickers on the right hand side of my LO all lined up. Then I added a few more on the left.
I used my November Scrapbook Circle kit to create both of these LOs. To see their kits and challenges click here.

Not again
My daughter doesn't want her photo taken lately, and so I think I take it more anyway! Here she is when we went to the Canadian War Museum. Since she wouldn't pose for me I just took her photo as she was. This LO was created from October 1st sketch at Stuck Sketches.
I enjoyed using some different paper and this cool clock that I cut out of some patterned paper. I also used my sewing machine alone the edge where the zig zap paper strips are.

Family room in the 70s
This 70s room was set up at the Canadian War Museum. My daughter thought it was just so lame. My husband and I enjoyed the flashback from our childhood. I used the ribbon to add some texture to the page. I used my punch to cut the circles out of some patterned paper that I had.
This sketch is from Stuck Sketches?! from September 15th. To see this sketch head over to Stuck Sketches to see all the details for this sketch challenge.

Sketch 363 from Scrapbook Challenges
Hello, and thanks for stopping by. I have a new LO that I created of my son bungee jumping last fall. It was his first time and he enjoyed it. I was able to use 3 different photos to show a little of his time jumping up and down. For this LO I simply used white cardstock for the background and then added some fancy lace paper for a border at the top, some washi tape, some paper flags that came in a kit with buttons and lastly the ribbon across my photos.
To see this sketch go to Scrapbook Challenges for all the details of how to enter their challenge. Then get outside and enjoy the nice weather that we have this fall.

War
In the photos below my son poses with some of the display at the Canadian War Museum in Ottawa, Canada. This is the second time we visited this museum. He was younger than and he now has a different appreciation of all that is on display there. I used the September 1st sketch from Stuck Sketches.
I used mostly scraps to create this LO. While looking for some paper to cut the circle out of I found this shiny piece of silver paper that I had already cut a circle out of. I decided to use this instead of an actual circle. Then I added some other paper scraps, some wood embellishments, a title, and it was done.
To see this sketch and others click here. Go ahead and give it a try. You can even enter it on their site and possibly win a prize.

Diefunbunker ---Sketch 362 at Scrapbook Challenges
The latest sketch at Scrapbook Challenges is out. It is here.
I used my photo from our trip to Ottawa. We visited Diefunbunker, a Cold War Museum, about 10 minutes from Ottawa. It was originally built between 1959-61 to house Canadian leaders during a nuclear attack. Everything in the building is of that era--desks, nurses station, phone etc. It was a very cool museum for me in that it brought back memories of what things looked like when I was little (for me that was the 60s and 70s).
I used some of my double sided paper to create the squares for my LO. I knew the colors would go together. I sewed around my page and added a few circles. I then added some ribbon to give my page some dimension.
If you would like to give this sketch a try click here to get all the information. Stop over to SBC to see the added challenges with this sketch. They are to use washi tape or make this into a double page spread.
Thanks for stopping by and having a look at what I have been creating!

Summer is over .............what have I accomplished?
Plenty of scrapbook pages, that is what I accomplished this summer. I created over 65 LOs. Being a librarian at an elementary school gives me my summers off to do as I choose. Mostly I chose to spend time working in my scrap room. I did read over 15 books, sent time with my friends and family, and watched more tv than I should have. Many of my LOs can be seen at my Scrapbook Challenges gallery. I am on the DT there and we had lots of challenges this summer.
Their most recent challenge is Sketch 360 and a color challenge.
I created my LO of my daughter, who has not wanted her photo taken lately. I have been taking it anyway! So here she is with her hands over her face.

Summer scrapping
I have created a lot of LOs this summer. These 2 are for challenges at Stuck Sketches.
The first is from the July 1 sketch. It is my daughter from a museum trip in July 2012. She did not want her photo taken, but was not given a choice by me.
This second LO is my daughter with some of her classmates at her award ceremony in June 2012. She reached the NY state standard to read 25 book sin one school year.

SBC Pinterst Picks
Do you belong to Pinterest? Do you spend many hours looking all the posts?
I created a challenge at Scrapbook Challenges give you some ideas of how to put Pinteerst and scrapbooking together. Find a picture that you like on Pinterest and then use it as your inspiration to create a LO or card.
I liked this poster of the car because of all the yellow in it with just the pop of white.
I used it as my inspiration to create this LO of my mom and niece at the Fair last year. This is part of our summer trip that we do every summer. It is a day to Celebrate the farming community where we live. This photo was taken in the FFA barn where youth display their creations and projects that they worked on during the year. They fill a sandbox with kernels of corn for the kids to play in.
With all the yellow of the corn I thought I’d try to make a LO with mostly yellow, like the car poster. Since blue was the next predominant color in my photo I used blue for my pop color in my LO. I looked through my paper and embellishments and found things that were yellow. I then used one small piece of blue paper and the letters in blue.
So go ahead and find a picture you like on Pinterest and then use whatever inspires you from it to create your own LO.
Head on over to the SBC Blog to find out all the details to enter for the monthly prize draw. All entries must be posted by 11:59 PST on July 31st to be eligible for the monthly prize draw.
I hope to see you over at Scrapbook Challenges.

Stuck Sketches
My school library is all packed up and summer vacation is here!! Now I have lots of time to work on my scrapbook pages.
I have been working on my Spring Break photos from 2012 when we went to Florida. I am just about done. The following LOs were based on the Stuck Sketches for June.
The first Lo has photos from the day we went to the beach. My son took photos of us reading and hanging out.
The second is from the day we went on the bus tour to the Everglades. This photo was taken at the end of the day when everyone was a bit tired. I used gesso on the background paper and then added some color to it with my spray inks while it was still partly wet.

June Shape Challenge at SBC
The theme for this month at Scrapbook Challenges is Heritage & Genealogy.
It makes me think of all the ways we celebrate in my family. We don’t go out to eat at restaurants often so when we do it is a way for our family to spend time together. One of my husband’s favorite restaurants to eat at is Denny’s. There aren’t any around where we live so it is not too often we get to go to one (the closest one is at least 2 hours away). When we were on our spring vacation last year there was a retro Denny’s in the nearby town that we visited. We traveled past it several times on the way to the beach and other day trips. It was on a 2 lane highway and we were usually on the opposite side of the highway. We were able to go there for lunch, once we figured out how to get to the other side of this 2 lane highway. This is the LO that I made from that day.
My challenge to you is to use rectangular and square shapes on your page. You can use long rectangle strips like I did and then rip them to make some shorter strips. See how many you can use. Try to not to have round corners on your page. I did use a small wooden bird which has a round belly, so go ahead and use 1 thing that is round. I can’t wait to see what you create!
To join the fun go to Scrapbook Challenges to get the rest of the details.
All entries must be posted by 11:59 PST to be eligible for the monthly prize draw.

Winter Estates of Edison and Ford
Here is a photo of my daughter from our Florida vacation in April 2012. We went to the Winter Estates of Edison and Ford in Fort Myers. This Lo was done for the May 1st sketch from Stuck Sketches. I was able to use up some of my scraps from another LO I did from this vacation so this page will go well with my other page.

VBS
For many summers my kids have gone to the VBS (Vaction Bible School) at the nearby Prosestant Church. Most of our kids from our Catholic church go to this VBS. They host the week and now we Catholics go and help out. For the past several years it has been my "job" to lead the Bible acting part of the morning. In this photo you can see the giant whale we made for Jonah and the whale story. We made it from plastic with a fan attached to one end where the tail would be. In this photo it is my daughter, her cousin, and her friend who helped me make it.
This Lo was inspired by the April 1st sketch from Stuck Sketches.

World Trade Center
I just found this photo from New York City where they are rebuilding where they World trade Center was. We went there on vaction in July 2011. I hadn't used this photo on a scrapbook page yet, so here it is. I used the April 1st sketch from Creative Scrappers to create. I had an old kit that had several circle emebllishemnts so I was able to use these on my LO.
Thanks for looking and if you go to New York City you may be able to see the completed World Trade Center.

Scrapbook Challenges: The Everyday
During the month of April we are scraping things that we do everyday at Scrapbook Challenges. My challenge to you is to create a LO of something that you do often and to use the word TODAY in your title.
We have snow every winter where I live and building a snowman is something that we build every year. When my kids were little I was the one to do most of the work. Now that my kids are older they build the snowman in their own way. Last winter my son used a bucket to mold the snow and built this snowman using several bucketfulls.
You may live where the snow has just gone away or where you are getting ready for snow to begin. Or maybe you never have any snow, if so lucky you!
Get your thinking caps on, look through your photos, or take a new one, and show me something that you or a family member does often. It might be for a particular season, holiday or event.
Make sure to upload your creation to the Gallery for all of us to see and link it to the Rafflecopter below for a chance to win the April prize package!
Don’t forget in order to be eligible for this month prize package all layouts and projects must be uploaded by 11:59 pm PST on the last day of the month.

Scrapbook Challenges: My Wildcard Challenge
January is a time for New Beginnings.
You may want to have a new style or new look for your New Beginning. I always want a new wardrobe to go along with a new beginning. I used to sew a lot and make many of my clothes. Those days are long gone, now I go to the store for my new wardrobe. I still do a little sewing now and then but when I got serious about scrapbooking I moved my scrap stuff into my sewingroom/walk-in closet. Now when I want to do a little sewing I go out on my porch where my big sewing machine is set up and ready to go.
My Wildcard Challenge is to Use Something from the Sewing Room. If you don't have a sewing room maybe you have a sewing box.
Things you can use may be: sewing on your page by machine or hand, buttons, fabris, ribbon, felt, lace, ric rak, yarn, straight pins, safety pins, zippers, tape measure. Anything goes!
Here is mine LO
I used ribbon, buttons, a piece of sewing tape that had my son's name on it to label his clothes for camp. I used my sewing machine to sew around my big green patterened paper and my ribbon.
Please add your LO to the gallery at Scrapbook Challenges and then post it to this here to be entered into the challenge. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
In order to be eligible for this month prize package all layouts and projects must be uploaded by 11:59 pm PST on January 31st.
